CURRENT EVENTS

Message from Miss Stafford:

RUBRIC

*To collect credible sources and to practice summarization skills, students will keep a Current Event Journal where they collect published articles/ sources about their research topic. IF YOU HAVE NOT CHOSEN A TOPIC, please do so ASAP. Go back to the Welcome message, research the Topics I have linked there, watch the CLAIMS tutorial, and pick a topic that interests you. Sources must be published within the years 2010-present. Students must cite the article in MLA, summarize the article, and create one original claim from analyzing the article.

The videos below reference these documents:

NOTE: You MUST use the Camden-Carroll Library to find peer reviewed sources of information for your Current Event articles.

You will need your MSU ID and Password to access articles.

Remember, your sources must be published AFTER 2010.

IF you do not have an MSU Id by the time the first Current Event is due, you may use Google Scholar to find your first article.
